Executive Director, Commercial Transactions
The Executive Director, Commercial Transactions will be an integral part of the Investment and Technology leadership team responsible for creating a high performing division delivering value and providing proactive planning and advisory services across DoT.
The Executive Director is one of five direct reports to the Deputy Secretary, Investment and Technology and is accountable for leading a professional workforce to provide commercial advisory, project deal strategy, delivery and transition support for all transport services contracts. The function will also be responsible for providing ad hoc support and advisory to small scale capital projects and monitoring the transport infrastructure and assets program of work to assess potential impacts on services contracts.
The Executive Director will provide strategic advice and leadership support to executive officers responsible for commercial advisory across Transport Services including train, tram and bus services, maintenance of roads and ticketing across the network; and Transport Infrastructure and Assets including delivery of contracts for infrastructure such as the metro tunnel, roads and rail projects.
Direct involvement managing high priority risks, issues and governance activities across programs, projects, advisory and capability building remit will be required along with the need to facilitate effective relationships and establish high levels of credibility with senior stakeholders. The Executive Director will be a focal point for authoritative advice on capital investment strategy and will represent the department in whole of Victorian Government procurement initiatives and policy.
