Work on the West Gate Tunnel through a new TAFE pathway
Posted: 21st May
The State Government has partnered with Victoria University Polytechnic to provide students with the skills they need to work on the West Gate Tunnel project.
The TAFE provider will offer Certificate II, III and IV courses in civil construction. Students who are eligible can study Certificate III without tuition fees under the government’s TAFE Free for Priority Courses initiative that begins next year.
The new partnership will also see the Werribee East campus re-opened as a technology precinct with a focus on civil construction.
The West Gate Tunnel will create more than 6,000 jobs, including 500 jobs for apprentices, trainees and graduates. Visit the West Gate Tunnel jobs page for updates.
