About the role:

At LXRP we're not just removing level crossings – we're building, we're connecting, we're revitalising. As part of the results-driven Systems and Controls team you will be involved in undertaking a variety of project-based cost control tasks to ensure LXRP is meeting ongoing internal and external reporting requirements.

Reporting directly to the Senior Cost Controller, you will support the coordination of project cost activities at a program level, including:

  • Coordination of the Month End Cost Reporting Cycle for the Authority. As well as the preparation of various monthly reports including the MTIB Board Cost report.
  • Maintaining the Project Cost Controls System to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting is provided in a timely manner.
  • Cost Controllers in delivery teams adhering to common standards and procedures.
  • Managae the Work Breakdown Structure across all projects and ensure cost benchmark data is captured and maintained.

This role is a 3-year fixed term contract, with flexible working arrangements available.

About you

We are looking for individuals who have a strong sense of purpose in helping the LXRP deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel. You will have experience supporting the management and reporting of large project costings, with exposure to major transport infrastructure projects highly desirable.

 We encourage all candidates with the below attributes to apply:

  • Sound understanding of large project cost control analysis, processes, and techniques such as time-phased budgets, deviation reporting, contract compliance review and cost forecasting.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are key to this role; cost reporting requires quality accuracy in a timely manner. 
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar (mandatory for this role).
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills are highly valued, as well as knowledge of EcoSys reporting system.
