JOB DESCRIPTION

Exciting opportunities available for talented welders experienced welding heavy structural steel in a workshop environment.

Your new company
Demand for high quality structural steel is continuously growing and my client who is one of Australia's biggest and most advanced steel fabricators is looking for highly skilled welders to join their team with the opportunity to go permanent.

Your new role
You will be working in one of Australians most advanced and largest workshops, responsible for the welding and fabrication of structural steel, reading shop drawings and complying with the high quality standard of the company. Overall you will be welding specialised structures for major railway projects, major scale bridges including the west gate tunnel, major shutdown projects and so much more. This is a very exciting opportunity for top quality special class welders looking to join a rapidly growing and successful company long term.

What you'll need to succeed;

  • Ability to pass at minimum 2G weld tests to the highest level.
  • Strong ability to mig weld, tig & stick also preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience welding heavy structural steel
  • Strong ability to read plans/drawings
  • Basic hand tools
  • Strong focus on attention to detail
  • Strong ability to stay productive whilst working autonomously
