In this key position you will report into the Head of People Operations and Systems. In this role you will be accountable for managing the end-to-end payroll processing for MTM to ensure that wages paid to employees are accurate and compliant with applicable legislative and organisational obligations for MTM’s payroll. The role is accountable for coaching, developing and building a high performing customer centric team that delivers against MTM standards and procedures, and award provisions.

About you

To ensure success in this role you will possess:
• Extensive experience in payroll with a minimum of 5 years in payroll management
• Extensive knowledge of management AND processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial awards, industrial relations and WorkCover claims policies and procedures
• Experience in resource management together with sound supervisory skills dealing with a number of complex awards and EA's
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of interpreting awards, collective agreements, employment legislation and HR Policies and Practices, specifically those related to payroll administration
• Experience with working in an integrated multi-system environment
• In-depth training and understanding of ADP’s PayForce National computerised payroll system is desirable
• Experience in working though significant change in a fast moving industry
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate HR function are highly desirable
