The Metro Tunnel Project About the role: Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) manage and maintain Signalling Systems that support and enhance the delivery of operational train services to the public. The systems rely on several different communications and signalling networks and systems operating between centralised and field equipment located across the metropolitan rail network. The Metro Tunnel Project proposes to extend MTM’s existing operational Signalling systems and where required, deploy new systems to meet defined operational objectives. The Civil & CSR Draftsperson will be responsible for Civil and Combined Services Route (CSR) drawings for the Metro Tunnel Project to enable deployment of operational Signalling systems. Reporting to the CAD Manager but supporting the Civil Design Lead, you will be responsible for generating civil design drawings compliant with the technical standards of MTM, VicTrack and the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) Drawing Management System (DMS) within agreed timeframes. About your experience: You will have strong drafting experience, with previous experience using CAD templates and drawing management systems. As well as, an ability to develop and maintain master drawing lists and implementing drawing version control from concept to final version. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering acceptable for Corporate Membership of Institute of Engineers Australia will be required.
