Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, the high speed rail link between Geelong and Melbourne and the future Melbourne Airport Link. RPV is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of a project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. This role is to support the team.

About the opportunity

The Director, Safety will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for leading the ongoing

development and implementation of Rail Projects Victoria's safety management system including the provision of highly influential and expert advice in accordance with legislative requirements and the relevant policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in health and safety in similar large infrastructure projects and will demonstrate clear understanding of the unique requirements of a developing project delivery organisation.
